Mobile Service
Dogtown VPO offers mobile service. We prefer to meet you and your pet at your veterinarian’s office. This offers continuity of care and a collaborative, inter-disciplinary team approach. Appointments for in-home service may be available upon request. We are based in Venice Beach, but we serve all of Southern California.
Consultation with your Veterinarian
To ensure the best service is provided to your pet, we require a veterinarian’s prescription. This verifies the treatment plan according to your pet’s diagnosis and condition, and establishes a basis for the best possible outcome.
Evaluation and Casting
Your pet will be molded and measured. From this cast, a brace or prosthesis will be custom-fabricated. You will be able to choose from various color and strap options to make your experience more unique and to show off your pet’s personality!
Fitting and Delivery
Once the brace or prosthesis is fabricated, we will fit and deliver the item to you and your pet. It is common for slight adjustments to be needed to establish optimum comfort and compliance. We will go over a break-in schedule and signs to look for to ensure proper fit and function of the device.

our Company
My name is Natalie Ferguson. I am an ABC Certified Prosthetist Orthotist (CPO for short) and the owner here at Dogtown Veterinary Prosthetics and Orthotics. As a human CPO, I specialized in caring for pediatric patients. Just like with kids, you need to be able to recognize non-verbal cues when it comes to working with animals. I hope to share my skills with you and your pets, so that we may optimize outcomes and increase compliance.
Our commitment at Dogtown VPO is to support your pet’s rehabilitation and recovery. Leveraging years of practice in the human world, we are bringing our expertise to our four (or three!) legged animal friends. We strive to meet the highest standards of animal care and customer satisfaction.
